A waterproof travel bag protects clothes and electronics from rain on the way to the airport, spray on a ferry and wet ground at a campsite. Waterproof ratings are verified on the bag itself: a heavy rain and water-jet test for IPX5 and IPX6 models and a full water-immersion test of 2+ hours for IPX7 and IPX8 models.
